For the upcoming Functional Art Exhibition at The Edmund Gallery (12th - 17th March 2016) I've been looking at the fabrics Raychel of Fiddian Interiors is using and here are a few photos of my glass inspired by these fabrics....
Have been working on a range of business card holders. Here are a few of my samples, but can be made in almost any colour required and in different designs too.
Thank You for your support and custom in 2015!!
Looking forward to seeing you all in 2016!! All the Best!! ....all of you who visited CKC Christmas Exhibition at the Edmund Gallery. We had a great week and was so lovely seeing you all. Looking forward to seeing you again next time.
Here are a few photos from the show... 18th - 30th May The Handmade Shop and Gallery is hosting Art About Town with Suffolk Open Studios artists Lucy Perry and myself in the spotlight. New work from both of us are on display in the Gallery and Saturday 23rd May we will be in the shop talking about our art. If interested and can make it do come in and see us. There is also a free price draw you can enter.
May is fully booked with 4 exhibitions and I'm busy making enough pieces for them all. But for the last few days I couldn't help but experiment a bit with a new technique I've been wanting to try for ages. I came across an e-book about Glass Fusing with Powders and was hooked. The book is written by a Swedish glass artist Lena Beckeus and I can highly recommend it (for glass artists that is....as you will need a kiln :)) ...easy to follow if you haven't done anything like this before and no need to make same things as the author... Below a photo of my first few samples... Still needing refined, but for a first attempt I'm not too unhappy :) In addition to all the above I'm also eager to get going with making some new bits of jewellery I learned on the course last week. Glass and silver clay riveted together... Here's a few photos from the course...the pieces I made and the 'makers' on the course with our tutor Erna Piechna to the left. A good few days with lots of fun...
March Hare Collective's Gallery and Shop returns to the Apex for Saturday 7th March 2015. Doors open at 10am and shut 4.30pm. Free entry! All Welcome!
I will be having my new sun catchers for sale as well as plates, tea lights, jewellery etc.... A great opportunity to come and shop that little #special something #handmade for your mum, wife or just for yourself for Mothers Day. |
