This coming Saturday I will be having the last craft stall of year 2014 - a pop up shop in Barclays Bank in Buttermarket, Bury St Edmunds. If in town do pop in and see me (and get warm at the same time:)). I will be 'trading' in the foyer 9.30am - 3pm.
You can also buy my glass in The Handmade Shop and Gallery in St John's street. Sorry haven't kept you updated through the blog for a while. It's been a nice and warm summer, but very busy and time has just flown past as it usually does nowadays...(And there always seem to be something more important needed to be done than writing a blog post?!)
Where has this year gone?? Now we're already in September and autumn is showing it signs....the nights are drawn in, mornings are often misty and most green things in nature are changing colour into lovely warm golden green, yellow, orange, brown, red.... I have some new pieces, inspired by the colours of Autumn, on the go and all being fine and well I'll have them on show next week... And I am also busy preparing for Christmas....One has to start early as nearer the time I'm (hopefully) going to be too busy selling all my stuff. I'll leave you with a photo of one of my latest pieces 'My town' - framed glass tiles (for sale in The Handmade Shop and Gallery, 6 St John's Street, Bury St Edmunds) My studio in Northgate Avenue, IP32 6AZ, on the corner of Norfolk Road and Northgate Avenue, will be open again this weekend 11am - 5pm both days.
All welcome in and see my little workshop. Don't forget it's Father's Day on Sunday as well so you might just find that perfect unique gift :). I'm exhibiting with March Hare Collective again on Saturday 3rd May 2014. Do come and see us at the Apex in Bury St Edmunds. Lots of lovely hand made art, crafts and designs available to buy. I'm showing my new designs of leaves, trees and poppies together with some old favourites. Ear studs in new spring colours also available. Open 10am - 4.30 pm and entry to the Apex is free. If you are in town (Bury St Edmund that is) today, do come in and see us. We are open 10am - 4.30pm.
...everybody who came to see CKC Collective's exhibition at the Edmund Gallery through the week. Your support is very much appreciated. We, myself, Caroline and Kay had a great time and enjoyed doing it. Curating your own exhibition together with someone you've never exhibited with before can be difficult but judging by your comments I think we 'nailed it'. We will definitely do it again when we get the opportunity.
Below are some photos to summarise it all... In just one weeks time I'm supposed to set up an exhibition at the Edmund Gallery here in Bury St Edmunds. Together with Caroline Davidson of Fruit Farm Fabrics and Kay Smith, we are presenting to you an exciting, unusual and different exhibition and hopefully many of you can come and see us and enjoy what we've been able to create.
Right now I'm still busy painting plinths and finalising the last glass pieces for the show.... More to follow.... Just about to set off to the Fayre http://www.burystedmundschristmasfayre.co.uk and am prepared for a busy few days ahead….(hoping anyway). You can find me and my Glass Christmas decorations and gifts in Moyse's Hall museum. We are open today Friday 10am - 8pm, Saturday 10am - 8pm and Sunday 10am - 5pm.
